25/09/11 AUTUMN EQUINOX, DETOX AND OTHER STUFF...

Hello lovely people, thank you for reading my blog. I am a 33 year old woman living in Watford with my husband and cat- Roly Poly. As a natural nutritionist this blog will be about food, drink, health, life, nature, the outdoors, healing and happiness….. A few of my favourite things. Enjoy and feel free to join in!

So that was my first hot dinner since Wednesday (it is Sun night) and it is amazing how delicious a baked potato and steamed broccoli, carrots and green beans can be! This has been a great Autumn detox and I am left feeling calm, confident (a bit tired) and sure that I will have the energy and tenacity to forge ahead with plans this winter. How exciting!
So I started unexpectedly on Thurs eve when I decided that I wasn’t hungry so decided just to have a pear for dinner. How great, not hungry for dinner! I then ended up doing 26 hours on 2 pears and a handful of soaked cashews so was very pleased as it was a great start to my Equinox detox ;-) I didn’t actually feel hungry, think this was because I was rather busy too. All good though, harvesting the creations of my hard work over the summer and getting things finished off ready for the hibernating winter months ahead.
Saturday morning found me feeling rather emotional and I had a little cry, felt much better afterwards, good to get these things out especially as detoxing can really shift stuff, which is the point after all! Was a bit weird and floaty/weak that morning but perked up in the afternoon after a superduper carrot, beetroot, apple and ginger juice which I shared with a friend who had come to help me with some DIY in the garden. I know, I know, not really the ideal time to be doing DIY but it was part of getting things finished and it was a lovely time spent together. That eve I was feeling headachy again so did another liver pack which helped move the toxicity on.
Today I have been feeling great… and hungry so have just had my delicious, yet plain, dinner. Spent some time gardening today, caught up with friends and family and had a small walk in the woods, lovely. I will be doing another liver pack tonight and a flush in the morning to make sure that all the hard work my body has done getting rid of some of my toxic crap will actually be exited from the body!
Watch out Autumn….. Here I come! X
